Continuation from Part 1 so you wouldn’t feel like you were reading a book…
Going thru this again (2nd marriage, same situation) was a chance for me to see a restoration God. He showed me how to not only forgive but how to forgive and love my husband better.
I’m not perfect at this thing called love. God continues to show me His perfect love and how to forgive.
Even in my feelings of betrayal and pain – I saw Him and felt His presence all over my life. I heard the sweet sound of His voice saying….”I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” “Cast your cares on me, I care.” This was my moment to forgive as Christ forgave me – on that cross.
The scripture about Love bears ALL things, believes all things, hopes all things, ENDURES all things is true. My relationship with Christ was strengthened and I’m now able to love harder – we are all sinners, saved by the grace of God. It’s easy to hold on to hurts and focus on how you’ve been wronged. Forgiveness is not easy but it’s necessary and it’s worth it. Christ tells us to forgive just as He forgave us.
Thankful today to serve a God who hears, a God who is fully present, a God who I can trust with my whole being, a God who is real, a God who saves, a God who.RESTORES!
The scriptures below gave me hope:
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Thanks, great article.
